Being “born again” is being a Christian who has accepted Jesus Christ as his savior, and repented of his sins. It is only through the mercy of God, and the acceptance of his will on our lives that we can truly claim to be born again. To many non-Christians, it is a difficult concept, as can be seen in Jesus’ and Nicodemus’ conversation in John chapter 3, however it is an essential concept for everyone to understand.

1 Peter 1:3 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
1 Peter 2:22-23 – “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”
John 3:3-8 – “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
