Encouraging people is a great way to strengthen others. Iron sharpens iron, which means that when Christians get together, they encourage one another and make each other stronger. Seek fellowship with other Christians, and stay positive and encourage each other. Paul says that encouragement and exhortation is great to keep Christians going and make their missions easier. However, don’t expect encouragement to be a one-way street. Encourage others, and exhort the Lord. It is selfish to only wish to be encouraged yourself rather than to encourage others. So, if you ever seek encouragement, find fellowship and get with other encouraging Christians, being sure to also encourage others – it will make you spiritually stronger.
