God’s will is probably the most important thing to understand in the Bible, yet it is addressed too little. God’s will is always what is best for us. He wants us to come to know Him, and to be His obedient children. That is His overall will for Christians, and it is easily found in the Bible. However, many people want to know God’s specific will for their lives. That is simple to say how to do, but not easy for people to do it. It takes prayer, listening, and the willingness to be obedient to God. If you want to know His will for your life, but you aren’t sure you’ll be obedient, God has no reason to convey it to you. You must be an obedient, earnest child of God who, when praying, listens well, in order to actually start understanding God’s will for your life. Once you understand it, no matter what it is, your life will be more joyful if you obey Him.

Verses on God’s will:

Psalm 143:10 KJV: “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”

Matthew 6:10 KJV: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

Matthew 12:50 KJV: “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

John 7:17 KJV: “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”

Ephesians 5:17 KJV: “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

Philippians 2:13 KJV: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
